Founded in 1953, PungGuk is a Fermentation Ethyl Alcohol manufacturer which changed and developed with the Korean liquor Industry. We produce and sell the Fermentation Ethyl Alcohol of best quality which is the major raw material of Soju. In 1994, we listed stocks in KOSDAQ and are trying for the clear and stockholder-based management. Managed steadily based on the honesty and the credit for last half a century, we became a stable competent company
which wins public confidence.


 
We contribute to the government as a important tax source through the conservation of alcohol tax and to the growth of the farmhouse income and saving of foreign exchange by using the domestic grain(rice, barley, corn, sweet potato, and so on) as raw material in a large
quantity. Furthermore, we also contributed to the competitive power of the national by maintaining and
developing the primary industry.


 
In 1994, we not only increased our profit but also took the lead in the environmental preservation by introducing new energy-saving technology in the Daegu Sungseo industrial complex, which fully automates microbiological fermentation and distilling process and collects all by-product(including CO2) generated during production and processes them and then produces Liquid Carbon Dioxide which is
used for an additive of beer or soda, storage for fruit and vegetables and Inert Gas for welding and
Distillers Dried Grain with Soluble which is used for blend materials for a cattle breeding feedstuff.
In September 2002, we concluded voluntary agreement for Energy Saving and reduction of Greenhouse
gas emission and were reborn as a environmental-friendly company in fact as well as in name.
